The lights of the National Stadium shone high and bright as the crowed cheered on for the home team whom are hosting the English Cricket Team after years. The ICC t20 world cup is not far from where we currently stand as being only a few away makes it an intriguing content collectively. In the first game Pakistan lost the match as England proved victorious with 6 wickets left in hand. Let us analyze what might happen in the next game.
THE PAKISTAN DILEMMA
The biggest dilemma for Pakistan is their lack of urgency in bowling and the slow paced batting. Starting off with bowling, the absence of Shaheen Afridi is detrimental as the youngster has 47 wickets ever since his t20 debut in 2018, containing a great economy of 7.75 which is decent for a fast bowler. Naseem Shah had an amazing Asia cup with 7 wickets in total but he took none in this recent game and conceded 41 runs off his 4 overs. As for batting, Babar Azam who was once the best t20 batsman in the world ranking #1 is slowly going down with another not so impressive 31 off 24. Muhammad Rizwan although responded critics over his slow strike rate by scoring 68 runs in 46 balls in total. Rizwan is the man to watch this series!
ENGLAND POWER IN HAND
England is currently the 2nd best t20 team in the world so winning against them is not an easy task as Pakistan learned that. Alex Hales, once again this time in t20 matches shining for England by scoring a half century, combined with his counter part in Harry Brook who scored 42 off just 25 balls having an immense Strike Rate of 168.00. This is further warning that England have a dangerous yet calm striker in Hales but a hard finisher in Brook. Luke Wood was however the man of the match with 3 wickets and giving 24 runs showing an exceptional display of bowling that we need to watch for the next game.
Rizwan and Hales to once again shine for England. Luke Wood’s bowling cannot be ruled out as well as an angry Naseem Shah!
